Sex & Relationship Therapy Intensives

with Alex Iantaffi, LMFT, Transforming Perspectives LLC

When time is tight. When things feel urgent. When weekly therapy isn’t enough.

Life is full. Schedules are complicated. Coordinating weekly therapy—especially as a couple or relational system—can feel like one more stressor on top of what’s already hard.

What Is a Therapy Intensive?

Sometimes, challenges in our sex lives or relationships are time-sensitive. Sometimes, you don’t want to wait six months to feel relief. Sometimes, you need focused space now.

Sex and relationship therapy intensives are designed for those moments.

A therapy intensive is a concentrated therapeutic experience:

  • 12 hours of therapy

  • Typically spread across 2–3 days (3 days recommended)

  • Designed to create depth, momentum, and meaningful shifts in a short period of time

Before the intensive:

  • 90–180 minute assessment session (depending on the size of your relational system)

  • Thoughtful intake paperwork to clarify goals, context, and needs

After the intensive (as appropriate):

  • Personalized workbooks or resources

  • 2–3 integration sessions to support long-term application

This is not a quick fix.
It is structured, focused, and intentional.

Who Might Benefit from an Intensive?

Intensives can be supportive if or when:

  • You’re navigating a rupture, crisis, or major transition

  • You need support around sexual concerns that feel urgent or stuck

  • Coordinating weekly sessions is logistically overwhelming

  • You want immersive time to address relational patterns deeply

  • You live out of town and want to travel for focused support

Intensives are not the right fit for everyone. That’s something we’ll explore together in consultation.

Why an Intensive Instead of Weekly Therapy?

Weekly therapy can be powerful.

It can also:

  • Spread work over months or years

  • Require ongoing scheduling coordination

  • Feel slow when something feels urgent

An intensive allows us to:

  • Stay with patterns long enough to shift them

  • Reduce the stop-and-start nature of weekly sessions

  • Create immediate space for clarity and movement

  • Work deeply without distraction

In some cases, intensives are not only more effective—but may end up being more cost-effective than long-term therapy.

Sex and relationship therapy intensives range from: $5,000 – $15,000

Pricing depends on:

  • Number of participants

  • Clinical complexity

  • Weekday vs. weekend scheduling

  • Scope of integration support

After a 30-minute consultation, you will receive a good faith estimate.
