Join Italian-American and Italian QTs Owen Marciano and Alex Iantaffi as they begin preparing for a queer spiritual pilgrimage to southern Italy next February, 2027 for the Candelora.

To help them raise funds, generate interest, and start building community to realize their collective dream, they will be offering monthly Queering Italian Magic (virtual) salons - community conversations and practices to remember and evolve sacred, spiritual traditions - on the first Wednesday of the month at 6.30pm CST (4.30pm PST / 5.30pm MST / 7.30pm EST).

This month, we explore the malocchio, the belief that other people can harm us by giving us the “evil eye”, and the various practices used throughout Italy to protect ourselves. We will also discuss how the practices of protection in our own families and cultures can help us, as trans and queer people, during this time.

Please note that Owen is currently needing to tend to their own nervous system as the occupation in Minneapolis continues. Alex will continue to nurture the Queering Italian Magic vision with Owen’s consent and support.

Please note that this event will be recorded for registered participants who are unable to attend at this time or who cannot attend the whole event. The recording will be sent out within 5 days after the date of the event.

Sliding scale is offered for registration. If you still need another option, please let Alex know. Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds. Please note that the upper end of the sliding scale is high, not by error but by choice. Alex and Owen are opening up to the potentiality of abundance for this series as a fundraiser to support the pilgrimage to the Candelora in 2027.
