I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, sex therapist, supervisor, scholar, author, researcher, and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Sexual and Relationship Therapy. I am a member of the People's Movement Center, an emerging healing justice collective in South Minneapolis, and an adjunct at the University of Minnesota, and at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. I have over ten years of clinical experience, and over twenty years of experience in research and teaching. I have researched and published extensively on disability issues, Deafness, gender and sexuality across the lifespan, mostly focused on gender and sexual minorities. I am a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health, the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality, the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists, and a clinical fellow with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. I also serve on the advisory board for the new graduate certificate in sex therapy offered at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and as co-chair of the Minnesota Transgender Health Coalition. I also love movement, I am a certified Nia teacher, and I am training to become a certified dance and movement therapist. I am fluent in Italian, English, British Sign Language, and I am learning American Sign Language.
